About the Course


Governed and funded by the Government of NCT of Delhi, the Sarada Ukil School of Art offers the prestigious Three-Year Diploma in Art for Drawing Teacher, affiliated with the Board of Technical Education, Delhi, since 1969. The Central Board of Secondary Education recognizes the course as a professional qualification for the position of Trained Graduate Teacher (Drawing).

The Diploma in Art for Drawing Teacher is a specialised professional course designed to prepare students for careers in art education, creative instruction, and visual arts training. The curriculum provides students with a strong foundation in drawing, painting, design, composition, art appreciation, and teaching methodology while developing artistic skills. Additionally, the diploma focuses on pedagogical training, includes computer graphics, enabling students to effectively teach and inspire young learners, and comprehensively fulfils all the academic and professional requirements necessary for qualification as an art teacher.

Admission

Prospective students are required to appear for the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Board of Technical Education (B.T.E.), Government of Delhi. Admissions to the course are granted solely on the basis of CET merit. For the welfare of SC/ST/OBC/Minorities, Sarada Ukil School of Arts provides various scholarship schemes for eligible students, including Merit Scholarships and Post-Matric Scholarships.
